Project overview
Located in the heart of the bucolic Prado district of Cannes, this small bourgeois building with 2 apartments underwent a double division to create ultra-optimized and functional apartments.
The challenge
This building had 2 floors of 60 m² each as well as an unexploited basement. Aging and poorly laid out, the challenge was to create 4 apartments with different typologies, optimal layout, while preserving the cachet of this beautiful old building.
Our solution
After a complete audit and a thorough technical feasibility study, we transformed what was two large T3s and a basement into a T2, a T3 with its own cinema room, a second T3 upstairs as well as a small studio. Creation of 2 new bathrooms, creation of 2 new kitchens, complete overhaul of the plumbing system, air conditioning in each apartment...
More than 6 months of work were necessary for the successful completion of this large-scale project, where the management of each trade was meticulously carried out to achieve our high level of requirement.
With the addition of more than 280 linear meters of molding, we were keen to sublimate and add even more cachet to a building that already had a lot due to its architecture.
Thanks to the installation of black resin paint on the floors and ceiling as well as the creation of a custom structure designed to accommodate the giant screen, the basement was valued to its maximum to allow an almost unique customer experience in the center of Cannes. Particular care was taken with the decoration so that it subtly recalls the famous Cannes festival, notably thanks to the addition of magnificent large-format photos of the biggest stars parading on the red carpet.
